Over the last several years, De Fursac has developed prestigious partnerships with the greatest Italian clothiers that allow the company to offer you the most beautiful, high-quality fabrics every season.
Lanificio Cerruti
In 1881, the three Cerruti brothers founded Lanificio Cerruti, a spinning and weaving factory in Biella. There, they made the most of the exceptionally pure water that allowed them to wash and dye wool, and they rapidly gained fame for the quality of their cloth. Wool, most often from Australia, was used to produce extraordinary fabrics: flannel, tweeds, cashmere…every cloth with impeccable drape and remarkable softness.
Now, as part of their partnership with De Fursac and for the first time ever, the Cerruti mills are making a few exceptional qualities available on an exclusive basis (Super 130, Super 150 and Turbo 180), providing De Fursac with some of the most exquisite fabrics in the world.
Boggio Casero
Luigi Boggio Casero began his career as a clothier in 1970 with products used by the most prestigious brands in women's attire. In the early 1980s, when “Made in Italy” fabrics were earning worldwide renown, the company decided to focus on producing high-quality, innovative fabrics for men and women: Super 120, 150, and 180 wool; mohair and silk; wool and cashmere; flannel...
In 2010, some of the fabrics we have begun offering customers include a double-twisted Super 120's and a Super 130's developed by Boggio Casero exclusively for De Fursac.
T.G. di Fabio
Lanificio T.G. di Fabio came to be in 1995 when founder Fabio Tallia Galoppo created his own company after many years running the family company in Biella. The quality of his fabrics combined with innovative materials made this clothier a “must” in luxury ready-to-wear attire on the international market, especially for wool, silk, linen, and mohair.
Lanificio F.lli Bacci
Guaranteeing the continuity between the past and the future is the Lanificio Fratelli Bacci philosophy. Since 1916 they have been committed to the textile industry and are now headed by fourth generation Bacci family members. A synergy between past experience and new technology allows the development of exceptional qualities, thanks also to the inter-generational know-how and the use of ever more precious fibres like the "Superfine Cashmere", "Mixed Blended Cashmere/Wool", "Angora", "Baby Camelhair" and "Superfine Wool".
The production being entirely integrated into the workshops in the little village of Brozzi, not far from Florence, is the great strength of Lanificio Fratelli Bacci that in turn enables the development of exclusive fabrics for its clientele and the capacity to place its savoir-fair at the full disposal of De Fursac, providing them with a choice of exceptionally high quality fabrics.
Zignone
Gilio Zignone, a savvy businessman with a passion for fabric, began his career in the Fifties and 12 years later became a major wool manufacturer. He specialised in flannel and Merino wool of irreproachable quality from Australia and New Zealand. In 1964, he decided make the family name the maker's label on his fabrics, and today, the third generation of the Zignone family focuses on research and ceaseless innovation, while keeping an unwavering eye on the top priority: quality.
Larus Miani
Guglielmo Miani started out in his small tailoring workshop in Milan in 1922.
He opened his first shop in 1929 on Via Manzoni, and a second shop in 1954 on Via Montenapoleone, which today still serves as the flagship store of the Larus Miani luxury brand. He became the largest Italian importer of English fabrics in the Forties, Fifties and Sixties. In the early Seventies, when famous French and Italian fashion designers were coming to the fore, Larus Miani began creating a textile collection made with cotton and natural fibres. Today, Larus Miani continues to provide some of the most luxurious cotton, cotton-cashmere, and glazed-finish fabrics.
