1973

Monsieur De Fursac was created by Simon and Bertrand Laufer. The first workshops were established in Saint-Pierre De Fursac, which gave its name to the brand.

1982

The brand expanded and the first major advertising campaigns were launched.

1983

De Fursac expanded its product lines.

1990

The brand was bought by Edmond Cohen who worked to renew the De Fursac image and its collections.

1992

The first Monsieur De Fursac store opened in Paris at 112 rue de Richelieu in the 2nd arrondissement.

Also located at this address was "High Life Taylor", a long-standing temple of nineteenth century Parisian elegance, where Balzac and many other dandies came to be dressed.

The High Life Taylor store and the brand's head office are still located in the building.

2003

Reaffirmation of the brand's position with regard to style and quality: the brand's visual identity was reviewed. Monsieur De Fursac became De Fursac.

2005

The quality of fabrics became a priority, De Fursac established partnerships with prestigious Italian drapers, such as Loro Piana, Zignone, TG di Fabio, Larus Miani, Bacci and Monti, which allied themselves with De Fursac and produced exclusive creations from their finest fabrics.

2006

De Fursac became a partner of the French Basketball Federation and official outfitter of the French team.

The basketball players Tony Parker and Boris Diaw became the brand's official ambassadors.

2010

The Spring/Summer 2010 collection heralded an exceptional partnership with Lanificio F.lli Cerruti.

For the first time since its establishment in 1881, the famous Italian draper developed fabrics exclusively for one brand, including "Superissimo 150 AAAAA".

2010

De Fursac developed its graphic identity.

The logo was redesigned by the agency H5, which was awarded the Oscar for the best animated short in 2010 with "Logorama" and the César for Best Short Film in 2011.

2010

This trend was also reflected in a new architectural design inspired by menswear colour codes. The quality of the materials used, such as Carrara marble, brass and black lacquer, reflects different elements of the De Fursac collection.

2011

Under the artistic direction of Frank Durand and Thibault Oberlin, and photographed by Karim Sadli, the new visual identity De Fursac was created.
